(This all began with a casual conversation a couple of days ago…)
In case you’ve been living under a rock these last 72+ days, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries kind of got married in a Hollywood extravaganza of a wedding that was seen by millions around the world. So what is their claim to fame and why would this be the talk of the global population? Gpawn doesn’t know for sure, but they seem to be some kind of celebrities or something? Somebody help me out here. I know that Humpheries guy used to play some basketball, but what exactly does Kim Kardashian do?
Well anyway, the latest news is that their marriage seems to be a bust. We are saddened by this news as any time a marriage fails…well; it’s just a bad thing for everyone. What we do know is that there is a 20.5-carat diamond ring designed by Lorraine Schwartz involved in all of this and it is reportedly valued at $2 million. This ring is going to need a new home and just as with everyone else, Glendale Pawn and Jewelry is here to help.
So, one morning gpawn walks into the pawn shop, sees Stan hard at work and says, “Hey Stan. Did you hear that somebody named Kim Kardashian needs to dispose of a rather large wedding ring? Why don’t you help her out? If you managed to resell it for a profit, what percentage of the profit would you donate to charity?”
(Gpawn knows Stan pretty well and knows that he believes in giving back to the community…and he does.)
To which Stan replied, “I would be glad to donate 100% of the profit to charity…I would enjoy doing that. But it’s never going to happen…etc.”
(Gpawn thinks to himself…Hmmm, challenge accepted…let’s get busy!)
Does this look like a man who just found out that he made an offer to buy a Kim Kardashian’s ring?
So…here’s our offer:
We will purchase one (1) round trip ticket from Southwest Airlines for Kim Kardashian to come and visit us here in Glendale, Az.
We will then dispatch our very own Gordon to pick up Ms. Kardashian at Sky Harbor International Airport. Now most of you know that Gordon is in charge of our E-Bay, Amazon and Gunbroker sales and he does a mighty fine job in this capacity. What you may not know is that Gordon is also a bit of a legend for his fast (but safe) driving skills and we feel that by being strapped in to Gordon’s tastefully modified, wicked fast, S2000 for the trip to our pawn shop, she should be in a genuine “negotiating mood” when she is delivered to our door…(After a full-on power drift into the parking lot)…nothing like a “near death experience” to put one in a negotiating mood?
Gordon’s ready…
We will then sit down at Glendale Pawn and Jewelry to negotiate a purchase price for her unneeded wedding set (Everybody knows that we pay top dollar for your unwanted gold, silver and diamonds)
Gordon will then proceed to deliver Ms. Kardashian back to the airport, in order to be home in time for her usual evening festivities.
Okay loyal readers, we’ve done our job. We’ve made the offer and we’re dead serious about it. Stan Grossman, owner of Glendale Pawn and Jewelry, has agreed to sell the ring and donate 100% of the profits from the sale to a local charity. Yes, you read that correctly. Once again, just to make sure there’s no confusion… Stan will donate 100% of the profits from the ring sale to a local charity.

Now is this another of gpawn’s publicity stunts? Nope, it’s only a publicity stunt if Ms. Kardashian doesn’t seriously consider this offer. We’re here…we’re waiting… all she has to do is get on Southwest Airlines and get here…we’ll even buy lunch.
