For the record, gpawn completely detests the over- commercialism that has plagued the holidays. Yes, the holidays represent the most important quarter of the year for retailers around the world, but seeing decorations shortly after Halloween (or the 4th of July) is a bit grating. Never the less, the annual celebration seems to creep up on us year after year resulting in panic, frustration and stress.

Talking about the upcoming holidays feels a bit silly when THIS is our 10-day forecast for those of us who live here in the Desert Southwest:

 

But it won’t be long when we start seeing pictures of adorable children snuggled up in Santa’s lap, listing all of the things they would like to see under the tree on that fateful morning.
