If you have a dog or in gpawn’s case a “Simulated dog-type animal of unknown genetic origin”, the “Dog” is up all night wanting to chase and bark at imaginary evil things in the backyard…and then sleeps all day when it’s too hot to even breathe. (Fear not dear readers, this animal sleeps all day in the comfort of A/C and get’s gpawn up at around 1:00AM to commence with the barking in the backyard…yes, my neighbors love me.)
Friends, if you’re not from here, this is what WE have to deal with for our Labor Day celebrations.
Now those of us who live here know full well that the summer is going to be hot, but this year it seems to have been especially brutal. August has been nasty, foul, scorching hot…day after day…with very little in the way of relief via our annual monsoon rainy season. Just yesterday the local weather service proclaimed August as the…drum roll please…hottest August in Phoenix history. Oh yeah, it’s a dry heat…
For those of us who have jobs, we are especially thankful this Labor Day, in spite of the scorching temperatures. For those who are looking for work, we sincerely wish you the best in your search for employment. (Glendale Pawn and Jewelry IS hiring…just check out the “Employment” link located on the home page of this website.) This recession cannot last forever…even if it sometimes feels like it will.
We have discovered recently that there appears to be an industry that is virtually recession proof and apparently the market for these specialized skills is never ending. Yes, we are talking about SPAMMERS and we are proud to announce that our humble Glendale Pawn and Jewelry Blog has reached the amount of web traffic where the SPAMMERS have taken an interest in us. Needless to say we are extremely honored at this development.

It’s not fair that nuisance blog postings and unwanted e-mail should be named after such a tasty food item!
Loyal readers, we’ve all experienced spam. It’s annoying, clogs up things and generally is not considered to be respectful employment by anyone. (Do spammers celebrate Labor Day? Is there a rich history of spammers fighting for labor rights? Do spammers form unions? Inquiring minds need to know these things…) But alas, Glendale Pawn and Jewelry “The Blog-View” does not attract just ANY spammer. Nope, we have apparently endeared ourselves to some literary critics from Krakow Poland, who just happen to have a custom t-shirt business. Yup, nothing but the best for us pawn shop folks!
Here’s a sample of their literary criticism from our long forgotten post titled, “Daniel Lawrence Whitney as he relates to our new online store.” In case you have forgotten, this post related to how Daniel Lawrence Whitney is actually known as, “Larry the Cable Guy” and how new website version 1.0 had been recently completed (Of course you are now reading this on the much improved new website version 2.0) Needless to say, it was one of our more awful posts and didn’t draw much of a response from anyone.
So, without further ado, behold the literary criticism of someone we call “Boris from Poland”:
This is NOT “Boris from Poland”…the spammer…but you get the idea?
Comment:
An impressive share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing somewhat evaluation on this. And he actually purchased me breakfast as a result of I discovered it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the deal with! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to debate this, I really feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If doable, as you turn out to be expertise, would you thoughts updating your blog with more particulars? It is extremely helpful for me. Large thumb up for this blog publish!
Yes, I’ll turn on the CAPTCHA in the next few days to put a stop to it, but gpawn thought that we’d celebrate everyone that labors this Labor Day (We’ll be open from 9:00AM – 5:00PM), those who are looking for work and even our literary critic friends in Poland. So szcz??liwy dzie? pracy to our spammers in Poland and for the rest of us…Happy Labor Day! (Please celebrate safely)
